A Special Ministry Update and Prayer Request from CFAR Brazil

Dear praying friends,
God has opened an extraordinary ministry opportunity to Joaquim de Andrade, the director of CFAR’s affiliate ministry in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He writes:

I’d like you to pray that the Lord will use me and give me wisdom on January 29. I’ll be in the city of João Pessoa, on Rádio Correio (the largest radio station in the Northeast) from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm debating the subject of “homophobia” and the new law that the government is preparing on this. This debate will be with a leader in the GLS [Gays, Lesbians, and Sympathizers] movement in Paraíba state, a city councilman, a psychologist, and a sociologist. [For background, click here]

I’m also preparing to speak at the Encounter for Christian Consciousness, which will be held at the end of the month during Carnival in the city of Campina Grande, Paraíba state. This event began with a presentation I gave there ten years ago; today it has an attendance of nearly 100,000 people (January 30-February 5).

Thanks be to God! We’re seeing His hand in bringing our family to Rio de Janeiro; I believe that He will do great things in our lives here.
