Mother Ammachi claims to be an incarnation of the popular Hindu god Krishna, or more specifically, a female incarnation of one of Krishna’s gopis (girlfriends). She teaches a form of kundalini yoga, in which the life force rises up the spine via the seven chakras to the top of the skull, when enlightenment is attained.
