Marchenko’s rhythmology is based on concepts borrowed from theosophy and Roerich’s Agni-Yoga. Though she pays tribute to Blavatsky, Alice Bailey, and Elena Roerich, Marchenko says she offers a unique way of mastering human life. The term "Radasteya" legally belongs to Marchenko and means "the creative laws of joy" (also used it as a pseudonym). Today she prefers to call herself Evdokiya Luchezarnova, i.e. Radiant. She claims to be “The Ray,” not God.
The world is divided into a "non-manifested" (spiritual) and a “manifested” (material) plane. Life has an extraterrestrial origin. People are divided into six races (Sons of the Sun, Born Later, Lemurian, Atlantean, Aryan-Babylonian and Radiant) and eight classes (Planetarium, People, Good people, semigods, gods, Hladastey, Radastey, and Rays). Members of the "radiant" race to be must receive a "beam address,” "radial coordinates,” and earn an approval of the leaders. Man is essentially a "ray” (filled with an "energy package" enclosed in a "suit") studying different planets. Exploring the Earth helps people fulfill their universal task and evolve to the "non-manifested" world. If the study design is not completed within the lifetime, humans go back to the "manifested" world. In order to act properly in the world, people must learn to manage time. According to Evdokiya Marchenko, she came “to shed light on one of the great mysteries of the human mind ... It’s a mystery of time".
Rhythmology or a so-called "method 7R0" is a tool for time management and a research of an immaterial nature of time. It assumes that no events are random. According to Marchenko, Rhythmology can manage problems, regulate human lives, and change settings of various body systems. Time is understood as an ever-changing substance, which has a variety of properties and which can be controlled. Marchenko claims that rhythmology methods can manipulate weather, affect search engines, and modify biological age or human blood groups.
Marchenko has introduced a special alphabet and a language of “re-emission" (distorted Russian words and abbreviated anagrams). Cult adherents must read rhythms—special “free verses” written by Evdokiya Marchenko. Rhythmology also implies a healthy lifestyle (smoking and alcohol are prohibited) and a vegetarian diet. Marchenko approves of various occult practices such as astrology, psychic visions, fortunetelling as well as alternative medicine.
Since 2002 the movement has been operating through the Institute of Rhythmology and a few daughter organizations. The Institute of Rhythmology offers outreach programs, lectures consultations and meetings with Marchenko (micro and macro-“radasty"). People admitted to "3D-gathering" clubs only for a fee. Headquarters is located in Miass in the Urals. Branches function in the major cities of Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and some European countries as clubs ("3D-gatherings") and bookstores ("A Living Book"). "Radasteya" has two Internet-shops, its own Internet TV channel, a newspaper, and a publishing house ("Radats,” St. Petersburg), producing Marchenko’s books, audio, and video lectures (over 300 titles). The total number of books published is over 5.5 million copies.
As in Agni-Yoga, there is no teaching about a personal God. "Light Hierarchy" or "supreme Hierarchs" from Shambhala are considered the creative source of the Universe. Jesus is considered merely one of the High Teachers (Mahatmas) or "great ones of the earth." The Holy Spirit is a "clot of energy" of a spiritual human body or "light/fire seed" which travels from one incarnation to another. A human becomes the Holy Spirit by himself. Humanity is a manifested rhythm that consists of time. It was brought here from another planet. Adherents perceive the goal of becoming a "living rhythm." Marchenko herself plays a role of savior: "Come to Me… I will save you, you know that I will. I radiate Love" (Radasta lecture, 2003).
Marchenko has numerous awards and high-profile non-state titles such as Grand Doctor of Philosophy and Full Professor.
