![](images/g_beliefs.gif) Branham followers believe that William Branham was the "angel of the Laodicean church" age (Rev. 3:14), God’s end-time prophet sent to correct errors in the Church so the Bride of Christ will be prepared for Christ’s return. Branham also taught he was Elijah to the Gentiles (Mal. 4:5) and the mighty angel with the rainbow on his head (Rev. 10:1). Branhamite groups preserve and disseminate Branham’s messages as though they were Scripture. Branham denied the historic Christian doctrine of the Trinity in favor of a sort of modalism (in which the Father, Son and Holy Spirit appear in various modes).
![](images/g_commentary.gif) Branham gained fame in Pentecostal circles as a prophet and healer, and followers point to evidence of supernatural phenomena as proof of his unique calling. Branhamism is not a centralized movement, and various groups loyal to Branham and his teachings publish, broadcast, and send missionaries across the world. Individual "Message" churches use a wide variety of names and can be difficult to identify at first.
