A blend of Umbanda spiritism and UFO beliefs. The founder’s book series, Universo em Desencanto, purports to reveal "the true origin of humanity." One group-related site claims that “The objective of Cultura Racional is to connect the human being to his World of Origin, THE RATIONAL WORLD, through Rational development, which is obtained by reading and re-reading the UNIVERSE IN DISENCHANTMENT books.” Another site explains that "Everyone has to read the Books of RATIONAL CULTURE in order to develop one’s reasoning, and the dematerialization of the Pineal Gland that is the isthmus of the me encephalon and after this energy dematerialized by the RATIONAL CULTURE, it is ready to return to its natural state, that is the First World, the RATIONAL WORLD."


One Cultura Racional web site claims that that "Universo em Desencanto" has been translated into 14 languages and read by 80 million people.
